Kara Lamberti is Vice President, Affiliate Sales at HBO Services, Inc. In this capacity, she develops marketing, bundling and offer strategies to drive subscriber growth for the HBO and Cinemax brands at Time Warner Cable, partnering on Digital Cable, Road Runner and Digital Phone initiatives. Kara manages the corporate relationship with the MSO while collaborating with HBO’s regional account teams to oversee acquisition, retention, promotional and branding activity across the Time Warner Cable footprint.
In five years at the company, Kara also served as Director, Affiliate Marketing, a role in which she led the strategic planning and implementation of subscriber marketing efforts, including direct mail, media, telemarketing, point-of-sale, online, multicultural and promotional initiatives for multiple MSOs.
Prior to joining HBO, Kara managed the Video product at TCI/AT&T Broadband in the corporate marketing group. There she oversaw Digital Cable acquisition & upgrade campaigns through divisional and network partnership, led multiple direct-response Free Previews, launched a pioneering ITV trial and managed execution of brand strategy and the transitions from TCI to AT&T and merger with MediaOne. Kara also gained valuable agency experience at Sadler & Dorchester as Director of Client Services, where she managed the Starz Encore Group and AT&T Broadband accounts. Preceding her cable industry career, Kara worked in product management and marketing at Hallmark Cards, where she began in the career development rotational leadership program following business school.
Kara earned her MBA from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management. She holds a BA in International Studies from Miami University, and spent her junior year in Spain at the University of Seville. She is a member of WICT as well as CTAM, having served on both the Summit and Mark Award planning committees. Kara resides in Maplewood, New Jersey with her husband and baby boy.
