Kara Miller

Kara Miller is Vice President of Comcast University for Comcast Cable’s Central Division, a $55B telecommunications organization comprised of 36,000 employees.  Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the Central Division is the largest field division within Comcast Cable, even larger than NBCUniversal, serving over 20 million customers.

In her role, Kara collaborates with Senior leaders across the Division’s key business areas, which include Sales & Marketing, Technical Operations, Care Operations, and Customer Service, to facilitate the delivery of all functional and leadership development training aligned to business objectives and priorities.  Reporting to the Chief Learning Officer, she is also a member of the CU Executive leadership team, responsible for strategy development and organizational governance across all Cable divisions.

Before joining Comcast, Kara worked with Walmart’s East Business Unit, where she led the Field Talent Development team responsible for the execution of core learning and talent management initiatives across the Talent Management Lifecycle, supporting the retail operations of nearly 1600 stores.  In addition, she spent most of her career as a management consultant in the Human Capital practice of Deloitte Consulting, leading large-scale strategic learning initiatives for clients such as State Farm, JP Moran Chase, and Phillip Morris.

Kara holds a master’s degree in Instructional Systems from Florida State University, has served as a board member for Action Literacy Inc., and is active in WICT SE as a mentor and panelist.
