Kara is currently an Engagement Principal with the Comcast Assurance and Advisory Team (CAAT) at Comcast Corporation. CAAT assesses the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls, processes, and compliance with laws and regulations through a variety of quarterly assurance and advisory projects.
Kara has been with Comcast for 8+ years. She began her career in 2008 as a Business Analyst with Comcast Spotlight, where she was responsible for AP, AR, expense coding, and general business operations responsibilities. Shortly after the NBCUniversal transaction closed in early 2011, Kara jumped on an opportunity to join the growing Internal Audit function as a Consultant. Over the next six years, Kara performed audits and advisory projects across all Comcast businesses (Cable, Corporate, and NBCUniversal), while climbing the ranks by being promoted to Senior Consultant, Engagement Manager, and most recently, Engagement Principal. With her latest promotion, Kara will now focus specifically on overall strategy for process improvement for Comcast’s Cable businesses.
Kara holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Northern Colorado (2007).
She currently resides in beautiful Denver, CO and in her spare time, she enjoys exploring her two biggest passions: traveling and music.
