Kara Sharpell is a Human Resources Professional with over 25 years of experience partnering with leaders at all levels in a variety of industries including manufacturing, higher education, hospitality and telecommunications & media.
In a bold move in her early career, Kara stepped out of her HR comfort zone and into an Operations role, where she gained valuable strategic insight and operational execution skills. That experience helped her become a better HR Business Partner and an insightful HR Leader. At Comcast, she has been a business partner to leaders across all functions of the organization and partnered strategically to bring organizational transformation to sites across several divisions.
In her current role as an HR Director for Comcast’s Central Division Call Centers, she partners with operations and supports HR leaders across multiple states providing subject matter expertise. She is involved in division-wide employee impacting projects and provides data-driven analytical insights to assist in formulating real solutions to current business challenges.
Kara received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Arizona State University. She also has a certification in Applied Linguistics and has spent time teaching English as a Second Language to adult learners. When not working, you can find Kara dabbling in new technology, decorating her home, and spending time with her husband, adult children and dogs, Emma and Sophie.
