Karen Grandmont, CPA is a Senior Director of Financial Operations at Comcast Cable Headquarters. In this role, Karen is responsible for managing and reporting the Cable Division’s Capital expenditures. In addition, she provides ownership and governance of the Oracle Financials Projects module. Some recent accomplishments in this role include successfully leading the financial conversion to Oracle R12 where she developed new processes for project creation, led training sessions for end-users across the company, and developed an improved process for reporting Capex (Capital Expenditures). In 2015, Karen was a Change Champion for the Customer Experience and led several 90 minute training sessions/presentations to Headquarters Finance employees to ensure knowledge and engagement in this critical effort.
In 2000, Karen started her Cable career with Comcast as an A/P supervisor for Cable HQ. Within a year, she accepted a newly created position as an A/P Manager for the Eastern Division where she created and implemented effective policies, procedures and internal controls while building a 25 member team from scratch. Karen also took on several other functional areas in the Division including Supply Chain, Purchasing and Capex reporting before returning to Cable Headquarters in 2011.
As a WICT Philadelphia board member from 2011-2015, Karen served in the roles of Regional Programming Director and Networking On-demand Director and has actively participated as a mentor in their formal mentorship program. She was awarded a scholarship to attend WICT’s Executive Development Seminar in 2010.
Karen earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is a licensed CPA. She completed an Executive Development program through the Wharton School of Business at Comcast University in 2009. Karen currently resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with her 3 children and husband Daniel.
