Karen Torrenti is currently Sr. Director Global Sales Training in the Sales Enablement Group at CommScope based out of Connecticut. She is currently responsible for supporting the global sales team on all Service Provider Sales Training for Strategic Selling, Soft Skills, Product & Solutions and New Hire On-Boarding. In her 9 plus years with CommScope formally ARRIS, Karen worked in the Access Technologies Group focused on Market Development supporting Engineering and Product Line Management on Customer/Sales Portal, New Product Intro, Technical Support, Technical Training, Technical Publications and Field Deployments. Karen then managed the Program Management Team for Professional Services HFC Network Practice responsible for customer deployment projects and cost savings initiatives in the service provider market. While in Supply Chain, Karen was responsible for supporting Professional Services on strategic projects for all supply chain and procurement initiatives. As a key business partner to the SVP of Professional Global Services, she also provided sales forecasting, S&OP, process improvement and cost saving initiatives that supported the financial planning. Karen was then involved in Contracts and Business Management for Technical Support at CommScope responsible for supporting sales on Service Level Agreements, Technical Support Contracts, 3rd Party Managed Wi-Fi Agreements and was the Technical Advisor worldwide for the ARRIS Channel Partner Program globally.
Prior to joining ARRIS, she held positions at Comcast Communications for 6 plus years as a General Manager for CT/NJ, Customer Service Call Center Manager and Marketing Manager. She also worked for CCOR on strategic account development in sales for the North America Region before landing in the electric industry for United Illuminating now Avangrid. At United Illuminating, Karen developed and launched a call center quality assurance program. Then moved into a multiyear transmission project along with her project team and Black & Veatch Construction Company. United Illuminating commissioned Connecticut’s largest 345 kV Transmission Line which was one of the first Siemens GIS Sub Stations in the world.
Karen received an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and her undergraduate from the University of New Haven with a BS in Business Administration. Karen is currently the President of the SCTE New England Chapter, Awarded SCTE National Chapter Leader of the year, as well as a WICT Member. Karen has just been accepted into the WICT Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Class of 41 2020. Born and raised in Connecticut, Karen has two children one in college and one in high school. In her spare time, she likes to golf, travel, bike and enjoys boating.
