Karli E. Sanders

As Corporate Marketing Manager of Scripps Networks Interactive, Karli Sanders is responsible for a broad range of external communications projects, with emphasis on managing the lifestyle media leader’s overall social media strategy, corporate website and executive speaking opportunities.  In this role, she is challenged to create a cohesive communications plan that balances the marketing needs of public relations, ad sales, affiliate sales, programming and branding, event marketing, human resources and corporate giving.


Sanders began her career at Scripps Networks Interactive in 2010 as an editorial intern with HGTV.com. After honing her writing and programming skills as an assistant editor, she moved to digital advertising operations, eventually managing the company’s Video On Demand advertising for HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Travel Channel and Cooking Channel.


Sanders graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee’s College of Communication and Information with a BS in advertising and a minor in business administration. During her senior year in the program, she participated in the university’s inaugural WICT Student Mentoring program. She is an active member of WICT SE, serving as a student mentor and chairperson for Taste of WICT Knoxville and the WICT SE Bowling Tournament.


In addition to her work with WICT, Sanders mentors high school seniors through tnAchieves, a non-profit committed to providing students with the opportunity to attend community or technical college without fees or tuition for two years. Sanders is a native Tennessean and lives on her family’s farm with 100 of her closest four-legged friends.
