In her role as Director, Production Management at Scripps Networks Interactive, Kate oversees all aspects of production operations in the Scripps Productions studios, located in New York City’s historic Chelsea Market. She supervises the coordination and logistical planning of all behind the scenes activity. She is also responsible for the financial forecasting and cost-tracking of all projects. She works closely with the Finance and Business Affairs teams to ensure cost-efficient productions, while still providing a superior production experience. Kate and her team service all of the Scripps Networks Interactive brands, including Food Network, Cooking Channel, HGTV, DIY, GAC, and Travel Channel.
Prior to joining the SNI family seven years ago, Kate was Manager, Studio Productions at Chelsea Television Studios/All Mobile Video. Here, she supervised the operations of six broadcast studios. She worked with a variety of clients including Ricki Lake, The Queen Latifah Show, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Suess, The Graham Norton Effect, and VH1 Storytellers.
Kate is passionate about giving back to the younger generation. She volunteers with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting in their "Made in NY" Production Assistant training program. She participates in events for the Young Women’s Leadership Network of schools. She serves as a Mentor in the Scripps Networks Mentoring Experience program. And in 2011 she spearheaded the creation of the Scripps Media Expo, an annual career fair for NYC students interested in the broadcasting and production industry.
Kate is a graduate of Elizabethtown College with a BA in Communications.
