Kathryn Staples is currently Director, Human Resources for Comcast Cable’s Mountain West Region in Denver, CO. In this role, her primary focus is creating a world-class employee experience through organizational health, leadership development and employee engagement. She leads a team of six HR managers who support all functions across the four-state region including: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
Kathryn joined Comcast in 2012 as Manager, Human Resources for the West Division supporting the Comcast Business team. Most recently she served as Director, Engagement for the Mountain West Region. During her six years with Comcast, she has held several different roles across the West Division supporting a variety of business units which include staff functions, call centers, sales and technical operations. However, her most fulfilling and important role is being a people leader.
Prior to joining Comcast, Kathryn spent 13 years in various Human Resources and Labor Relations leadership roles, primarily in the telecom and entertainment industries.
Kathryn attended Colorado State University where she completed her Bachelor Degree in Social Work and her Masters Degree in Human Resource Development. She has earned her SPHR certification and is PROSCI and Insights certified.
Kathryn lives in Colorado with her family, and loves spending time outdoors and traveling.
