Kathy Kirchner

Katherine Kirchner is Vice President of Care and Operations for Xfinity Mobile.  In this position she overees mobile care strategy, as well as all national inbound sales and care support channels for mobile customers, including advanced Tier 2, Tier 3 and fraud operations.  Prior to her current role, Katherine was Vice President of National Centers of Excellence with Comcast Cable, where she was responsible for national support provided by 8,000 agents spanning seven internal centers and numerous business partner locations.   Programs included advanced Wireless Gateway, X1 Repair, Advanced Repair for all lines of business, Spanish Language Sales and Retention, Accessibility, Corporate Escalations  and Xfinity Home.


Prior to joining Comcast, Katherine served as Vice President and General Manager of Telephone Services at Bresnan Communications, directing digital phone deployments and operations and managing product P&L.  She was also responsible for carrier management and capacity planning, overseeing the negotiation, implementation and capacity planning of all leased and owned transport, IP transit and interconnect facilities and hubs for voice, video and data services.


Previously, Katherine was General Manager for Montana Advanced Information Network, Inc. (MAIN), a regional fiber-optic network company where she managed all aspects of the business.  While there, she maximized shareholder value, taking the company from a net loss, cash burn position to achieving positive net income and quadrupling active services in less than two years.

While at MAIN, she was named one of the top 40 young business leaders in Billings, MT by Western Business News.  Katherine was named one of CableWorld’s Top Women in Technology and Second 50 Most Powerful Women in 2006.  She is an Executive member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications and was named a 2011 Woman to Watch.


Katherine received her Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry Institute of Technology in Kansas City, MO and is an alumnus of CTAM University’s 2008 class,WICT Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute-Class IV and the SCTE Tuck Executive Leadership Institute 2013 class.  Katherine has been married to her husband Phil for thirteen years and resides in Denver, CO.
