Kathy Patterson

Kathy Patterson is a Distinguished Engineer within the Comcast National Engineering &Technical Operations (NETO) Organization. She has over 20 years of technology and management experience focusing on enterprise architecture, business intelligence and data governance. Kathy has a passion for architecture and has held a variety of roles as both an individual contributor and manager of a multidisciplinary architecture team. Kathy’s recent focus within Comcast has been on developing strategies for Big Data which minimize traditional costs for storage and managing data. Her holistic approach to evaluating and understanding the impacts of leading-edge information technologies on the enterprise has allowed her to be recognized as a key architect and innovator both within and outside Comcast. She is an active participant on multiple vendor sponsored customer review boards to help drive product direction in order to better meet Comcast’s needs. She has also presented in multiple forums and is a co-author of a pending patent “Latency-Based Routing And Load Balancing In A Network”.

Kathy graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science Engineering and later received a Master of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Villanova University. Kathy’s desire for understanding how things work and most importantly how to fix them, has lead her to pursue a wide variety of hobbies from completing her training as a diesel mechanic to undertaking major home renovations.
