Kirby Dixon

​A native of Philadelphia, Kirby Dixon is a Manager of Publicity at HISTORY. In this role, she is responsible for developing and executing innovative publicity campaigns for HISTORY’s original scripted and non-fiction series and specials. Additionally, Kirby crafts a number of the network’s consumer facing communications including press releases, media alerts and talking points and manages talent at high-profile press appearances and events. Since 2016, Kirby has overseen a number of the network’s top publicity priorities including HISTORY’s latest scripted drama series Knightfall, their hit non-fiction series The Curse of Oak Island, and the ultimate wilderness survival competition show Alone.

 

Prior to joining HISTORY, Kirby served as an East Coast NBCUniversal Page in 30 Rockefeller Plaza. While in the Page Program, she participated in assignments with USA Network’s marketing team, NBCU’s Content Innovation Agency, Saturday Night Live’s talent team, and the company’s Global Talent Booking department. She later accepted a full-time position with the publicity team at USA Network. In this role, Kirby supported numerous events along with the execution of key publicity campaigns for many of the network’s popular shows including the hit legal-drama series Suits, a robust contestant campaign for the network’s first ever improv comedy show First Impressions with Dana Carvey, and the 139th and 140th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Shows, which resulted in key press placements across print, digital, radio and national TV.

 

Kirby received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Visual Studies with a concentration in art practice and technology and received a language proficiency certificate in Spanish. Kirby enjoys traveling, experiencing new cultures, spending time with friends and family, and dancing to her favorite R&B and hip-hop tunes. She currently resides in New York.
