As vice president of public affairs, Kristin Peck is responsible for leading internal and external communications, community affairs and outreach and employee engagement initiatives for Cox Communications’ Central Region, including Arkansas, Kansas, Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Her team’s goal is to position Cox as an industry leader and a trusted company to do business with and work for in the communities it serves.
Her 17-year tenure with Cox began in 2001 when she became the director of public affairs in Kansas. She then moved to Omaha in 2005 as vice president of government and public affairs before moving to Oklahoma City in 2009. Previously, Peck served as the Public Information Officer for the City of Wichita and as a reporter and news anchor for KNSS in Wichita.
Peck is a graduate of Wichita State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She currently serves as treasurer on the executive committee of the State Chamber of Oklahoma, as a member of the board of trustees for the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial and Museum and serves as co-chair of the TRDC campaign, the fundraising arm of the OKC Chamber.
Currently, Peck lives in Edmond with her husband Jon, her son Jamie who will start at Oklahoma University this fall, her son Logan who is a high school sophomore, and her two dogs, German Shorthair Buster and Jack Russell Phoebe. She loves to travel with her family and spend time outdoors.
