Lauren Crumpecker is the Director of Digital Content Marketing at Discovery. In this role, she leads the activation of high-touch digital ad sales campaigns, managing the execution of cross-brand integrated content including social video, digital series and short form. Throughout the production process, Lauren collaborates internally with ad sales, editorial and Scripps Lifestyle Studios, as well as external clients and agencies to create engaging and on-trend content that aligns with both network and advertiser brand objectives. In addition to content creation, she also strives to improve internal work flow and currently manages the development of a project management tool to streamline the digital ad sales marketing and editorial ideation process.
Prior to joining Scripps Networks Interactive, Lauren got her start in media at Viacom as a Nickelodeon digital marketing intern. She began her career in brand marketing at Feld Entertainment, supporting the Disney on Ice and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey brands. In 2012 Lauren shifted her focus from live entertainment back to the media industry when she joined Scripps Networks Interactive’s on-air Food Network & Cooking Channel ad sales marketing team. She was promoted from Coordinator to Manager in 2013 and then transitioned to her current role within Scripps Network Interactive’s digital division in 2016, which was a new, cross-brand position within the company.
Lauren earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and is originally from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. She currently resides in Manhattan and in her spare time enjoys indoor cycling, trying the latest food trends and planning her next international adventure.
