Lauren Goldman, Director of Communications for the National Cable Television Cooperative, has over 20 years of experience in marketing communications and graphic design. During this time, Lauren has enjoyed a few different roles within the cable television industry. Originally with NCTC member company Everest Connections (now Consolidated Communications), Lauren helped launch the local, favorite provider when the overbuilder originally came onto the scene in suburban Kansas City. Through grassroots marketing efforts and special events, as well as media relations, she helped put Everest on the map. Later, Lauren acted as a public relations consultant for Comcast in Kansas City, leading community relations efforts, traditional and social media projects as well as government affairs. Upon completion of the Comcast project, Lauren started her role with NCTC in September 2014. At NCTC, Lauren leads media relations, member communications and web content initiatives.
Lauren graduated from the University of Kansas in English with an emphasis in journalism and launched her career in public relations at Edelman Worldwide in Dallas. Later she received an associate’s degree in communication design.
Lauren lives in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband Stuart and their daughters, Natalie and Gracie. She’s a busy working mom who loves photography, calligraphy and spending time with her family.
