Leah H. Knowles, a native Floridian has worked in public relations at Bright House Networks for almost three years.
After receiving an Associates Degree in Mass Communications from Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Florida, she attended Florida International University in Miami and worked as a special events planner. Currently, Leah is finishing her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at the University of Phoenix.
Leah has been actively involved in the Greater Florida Chapter of WICT since the beginning of her cable career. She has been on the board for three years, serving as Publicity Co-Chair, and Golf Chair. Leah presently serves as board secretary.
As a board member, she has enjoyed planning and executing events such as “Achieving Balance,” a woman’s work-life balance seminar, and “Tech It Out,” a Motorola technology case study. She has also worked on fundraising events such golf tournaments in Tampa and Central Florida and the end of the year holiday gala and volunteer appreciation event.
In her current position at Bright House Networks, she serves as a representative in community by working with numerous non-profit and community organizations. She is responsible for promoting company image, as well as coordinating company and community partnerships, sponsorships, contributions and events.
Leah was recently engaged to Brent Brown and is planning a November wedding. She is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with family, friends and her three dogs, two English bulldogs and a Bull Mastiff.
