Leslie Gilchrist is a highly experienced leader with over 16 years of telecommunications experience. Currently working for Cox Communications since 2002, the company provides leading-edge technology solutions and products for business and residential customers. As the West Region Network Operations Center (NOC) Director, Leslie is responsible for leading a department consisting of (3) managers, (8) supervisors and 100 frontline technicians supporting all Cox Business, Residential and Hospitality Network services and devices. Leslie started her career at Cox in 2002 as a Reporting Analyst. Since then, continued to progress as a Business Analyst and then to a Project Management role within IT, where she provided indirect leadership of project teams to develop IT solutions for Cox. She then moved into leadership and has served as a leader in the IT Application Development department for the past 9 years, including a role as the Sr. IT Manager of Application Development managing teams across the nation. With this vast array of experience, it led her to the operations side of the house moving into a Management role for the NOC. Leslie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Arizona State University and has an ITIL Foundations Certification. She is passionate about growing and developing people and has served in various mentorship roles throughout her career. She has a solid record of producing results and is known for her ability to build relationships, strong leadership and ability to grow and develop people.
In addition to her role at Cox, she also serves as the Marketing & Communications Chair board member for Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), and is a member of the Cox Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) and the Cox Diversity Council – People Pillar. As a WICT board member, Leslie designs and develops communications for WICT events and encourages employee participation in WICT activities for the Southwest Chapter.
During her personal time, Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband and their 5 children Maia-15, Isabella-12, Sully-5, Sophia-2 and Lincoln-1, living in Phoenix, Arizona – where she is also a native. When she isn’t participating with her kids in their activities, she enjoys camping, traveling, music and card games.
