Lilicia Bailey is senior vice president, chief people officer of People Strategies and Strategic Initiatives for Manheim. Bailey is the chief executive overseeing global human capital strategy reporting to the president and CEO. She is responsible for multiple enterprise-wide practices in support of the company’s growth strategy and operating plans. Working with the executive team, Bailey leads the company’s succession planning, executive and leadership development, strategic organizational effectiveness initiatives, workforce planning, career development, HR Business Partners, labor management, employee engagement, diversity and talent management practices. She chairs the Compensation and Corporate University.
Bailey has made a significant impact on the business with measurable results in the areas of employee engagement, business/operational transformations, and developing leaders of leaders. Her focus areas include continuous improvement initiatives, change leadership, competitive reward strategies, corporate culture and employee engagement. Under her leadership, Manheim was recognized as a Best Place to Work for People 50 and over by the AARP in 2008 and 2009.
Prior to joining Cox in 2003, Bailey led large-scale change initiatives at The Home Depot during her 17-year tenure. As director of inclusion & organizational effectiveness, she led a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team through a corporate-wide change initiative instituting diversity best practices, and establishing systemic and sustainable people programs and processes.
She has demonstrated proficiency in assessing business requirements, implementing change initiatives, leading large/small group interventions, consulting on performance/process improvement strategies and coaching executives and leaders on building high performing teams.
Bailey has held various non-profit board leadership positions on Cobb Family Resources, Girl’s Inc., and Communities in Schools of Georgia. She is in Leadership Atlanta Class of 2010. Bailey graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, and a Presidential/Key Executive MBA from Pepperdine University.
