Linda Wokoun joined Bright House Networks as Vice President of Sales and Channel Development in January, 2012. In this role, Linda is responsible for residential sales leadership and strategy development company-wide. Key areas of focus include sales leadership development, analytics and reporting to drive performance across all channels. Linda also provides leadership for customer retention, retail and e-commerce channel development.
Prior to joining Bright House Networks, Linda held senior roles in the wireless industry leading marketing, sales, network and call center functions. As SVP at Cricket Communications, Linda built the marketing and customer care organizations and went on to lead both functions through a period in which Cricket’s revenue and market cap more than doubled. Linda was also instrumental in developing marketing analytic models that were used to target new markets for acquisition in FCC spectrum auctions.
Before Cricket, Linda helped launch a wireless start-up, iPCS, which was a Sprint affiliate providing cellular service in the Midwest. As the Chief Operating Officer at iPCS, Linda led all operational aspects of business launch including network build-out, retail development and third party distribution. Linda also supported business capitalization efforts which successfully attracted public financing and venture capital investment.
Prior to iPCS, Linda held a variety of roles at Ameritech Cellular (parts of which were later sold to AT&T and Verizon). While at Ameritech, Linda led marketing, customer care, and launched new markets. During this time, Ameritech led the industry in customer retention and earned the J.D. Powers Award for Customer Satisfaction every year in every market it served.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Indiana University and an MBA in Finance, from the Kelley Graduate School of Business at I.U. She recently moved to the Tampa Bay area with her husband, Rick, after raising three sons in Chicago. She is a fine artist and fitness enthusiast.
