Lisa Hoyle

Lisa Hoyle is employed by ESPN as the Marketing Manager for the X Games, the world’s premier action sports competition and brand. In this role she works as part of the team responsible for driving ticket sales, awareness and attendance for both domestic and international X Games events. Her duties include developing creative promotions with print, radio and online partners, cultivating relationships with civic entities and spearheading corporate-outreach initiatives tied to the event.

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Lisa now resides and works in Los Angeles. She earned her BA in Psychology in 2002 from Occidental College (now known for Barack Obama’s two-year tenure as a student there) and started her career as a project manager for a guerilla marketing agency known as A.D.D. Marketing. In her role at A.D.D., Lisa gained experience managing a nation-wide team of marketing reps for high-profile clients such as Pro Surf Tour of America, MTV, DreamWorks Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Maverick Records, Sony Computer Entertainment and others. Before joining ESPN in 2005, Lisa also gained experience in a variety of industries including human resources and creative services.

Outside of work, Lisa likes to spend her free time playing with her two border collies, travelling, SCUBA diving, camping, snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, skateboarding, hiking, and anything else that gets her outdoors. She is an active member of the Sierra Club, PADI Diving Society and board-member for the Los Angeles Chapter of WISE (Women In Sports and Events).
