Lisa Ling

For The Oprah Show, Ling has covered vitally important stories that much of the world chooses to ignore, ranging from gang rape in the Congo to bride burning in India. Since joining National Geographic Channel in December 2002 as the first woman host of Explorer, Ling has covered war-torn Iraq, investigated the increasingly deadly drug war in Colombia, and examined the complex issues surrounding China’s one-child policy.  Ling is one of the original co-hosts of The View. Ling is also the co-author of the book, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Bride: Rituals of Womanhood.
