Lori Chee joined MTV Networks in 2004 as Vice President, Affiliate Marketing overseeing the Music Group and the recently launched gay and lesbian network, Logo. Ms. Chee is responsible for leveraging the brands and their content for 15 music-related channels across partners’ products and services including Vh1, CMT, and MTV, the world’s most valuable media brand according to Business Week and Interbrand. In addition, she oversees multicultural marketing strategies with affiliates to effectively reach youth and adult Hispanic, African American, and Asian audiences. Ms. Chee was previously Senior Director of Marketing for DIRECTV where she was part of the start up team that launched the nation’s leading digital multichannel television service provider. During her tenure she oversaw national and local consumer marketing efforts, including direct marketing and point-of-sale merchandising at over 30,000 retail locations resulting in record numbers of new subscribers yearly. Ms. Chee began her career in business planning in the automotive industry before segueing into corporate communications and sales at Hughes Communications and DIRECTV, respectively. A native Southern Californian who recently moved to New York, Ms. Chee is adjusting and enjoying life in The Big Apple, sans the winter weather!
