Lori Hall

As TV One’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Lori Hall is tasked with strategically developing and executing the network’s marketing initiatives across all platforms. She manages all phases of marketing, including advertising and branding outreach efforts in order to maximize TV One’s business and programming objectives. Hall’s team comprises the consumer marketing, on air creative services and digital + social teams for TV One.

Under her leadership, she spearheaded the network’s new brand look and promise, which included a comprehensive creative overhaul of TV One’s on-air and off-air brand elements, including its new tagline, “REPRESENT.” Hall also spearheaded the network branding and packaging for the new network CLEO TV, which launched in January 2019, and Hall is also responsible for the marketing and branding of this network.

Hall led the marketing campaigns for TV One’s top 3 movies of all time within her first two years at the network, including When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story, Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story and Bobbi Kristina. Hall and her team also developed the first TV One network app in 2018, which has seen triple-digit growth in downloads year-over-year.

Hall joined TV One in 2015 from UP where she was Vice President Consumer Marketing. During her tenure, she launched UP’s first ever viral video, reaching 43 million views across social media in less than one week. Hall also masterfully negotiated an exclusive media partnership with Steve Harvey resulting in UP’s inaugural sponsorship of The Neighborhood Awards (formerly known as “The Hoodies”).

Before joining UP, Hall oversaw numerous successful marketing campaigns at Turner Entertainment Networks, where she led all marketing campaigns for Tyler Perry’s comedy series, including For Better or Worse, House of Payne and Meet the Browns, as well as she launched TBS’s Cougar Town and Sex and the City (an acquisition). Hall also launched several TNT campaigns, including Rizzoli and Isles and Hawthorne. While at Turner, Hall negotiated multi-million-dollar partnerships with multiple Fortune 500 companies, including Walt Disney World Resorts and Island Def Jam Music Group.

In addition to her role at TV One, Hall is the creator and host of the new hit podcast “38 & Dating”. Hall has been featured on SiriusXM, WHUR, and at industry events due to her podcast’s success. Hall was also featured on the cover of PIVOT Magazine’s January 2018 issue as an executive leader in the entertainment industry.

Hall is an active member of Nielsen’s Advisory Council and serves as a 2019 WICT board member. In 2018 and 2016, she was named a “40 Under 40” honoree by NY Television week and Multichannel News respectively. She was a recipient of the 2018 WICT “Know Yourself” award and has been a featured panelist for numerous industry events and conferences. She currently holds memberships with WICT, NAMIC and PromaxBDA and serves on the nonprofit board for the PIVOT Foundation. Hall is a Northwestern University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
