Lura Adun is a Producer at A+E Networks. Her production journey began when she assisted her sister with an NYU video project. Helping to expand the characters and premise for a comedic cooking show allowed Lura to demonstrate her humor and creativity, and compelled her to follow in her sister’s footsteps, starting with a VH1 internship at Viacom.
After graduating from college, A+E offered Lura an opportunity to work as a Production Assistant and then, promoted her to Associate Producer. She ventured into positions outside of A+E, working as a Master Control Operator for Encompass Digital Media – ESPN3 and as an Editing Assistant. She later returned to A+E and performed numerous roles including Post-Production Assistant, Production Coordinator, Production Administrator, Associate Producer and ultimately, Producer.
As a Producer, Lura is responsible for screening, modifying, cutting, and revising History and Viceland content. She assures each program adheres to A+E Network’s technical and creative requirements.
Lura’s determination and dedication stems from overcoming great adversity while growing up in a single parent home and losing her mother to cancer in high school. Her drive and determination continues to grow as she strives to make achievements in the television industry in honor of her late mother’s memory.
Lura holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Video Production. In her spare time, she enjoys running 5ks, half marathons, obstacle course races, riding her motorcycle, and giving back to the community.
