Maggie Reilly-Brooks is Senior Vice President, Legal & Business Affairs and Deputy General Counsel of A+E Networks, which operates the following programming services: A&E Network, HISTORY, H2TM, BIO. The Biography Channel, History Channel en españolTM, Military History Channel, Crime and Investigation NetworkTM, Lifetime , Lifetime Movie Network (a/k/a LMN), and Lifetime Real Women. In her 25+ years with A+E, Maggie has seen the company grow from a single cable television network distributed in the United States and Canada to a vibrant multimedia company with extensive distribution throughout the world, with strong Consumer Products and Interactive divisions. She supervises negotiations for real-life/non-fiction programming development, commission, and co-productions (including associated on-camera participants and talent), all licensed programming, and oversees Legal & Business Affairs work regarding non-fiction product integrations and promotional and marketing activities, as well as contests and sweepstakes.
Prior to the focusing of her job responsibilities almost entirely on content-related negotiations and issues, Maggie’s responsibilities were diverse, and included serving as the primary L&BA contact for the distribution group during the negotiation of affiliation agreements, being chair of the Standards & Practice Committee, and the regulatory policy point person for L&BA. In 2011, she participated in the Cable Executive Management at Harvard Business School (aka CTAM U).
A Bronx native, Maggie holds a B.A., summa cum laude, in English and history from Fordham College (where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society) and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. A lover of all dogs, she and her husband share their lives with a 90 lb rescue dog named Diamond.
