Marilyn Ardito

Marilyn Ardito joined ESPN in 2005 and was recently promoted to the position of Vice President Organizational Development, Training and Internal Communications,. In her previous role as Senior Director of Organizational Development and Training, she partnered with key leaders in optimizing talent, structure and systems across ESPN and served as the thought leader and internal consultant on questions related to change management and organizational design. In her expanded role she will have responsibility for internal communications and will play a key leadership role in process improvement efforts across Human Resources. Marilyn serves as the ESPN liaison to The Walt Disney Company on several enterprise wide human resources initiatives. Prior to her employment with ESPN, Marilyn served as Director of Human Resources at Gap Inc. in a variety of organizational development and human resources roles that included both domestic and international assignments. Previous to that, she worked at Georgia Pacific as a trainer and an internal consultant in process reengineering. Marilyn has had the opportunity to enjoy two distinct career paths: the business sector and education. Her varied career began in education and included classroom teacher, vocational and adult literacy program director and university instructor. Marilyn, a native of New York and long time resident of Maine, graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor of science degree in education. She has a Masters in adult education from the University of Maine , and a Masters in organizational development and a PhD. in human and organizational systems from the Fielding Institute.
