Mary Beth Schubert

Mary Beth Schubert is a native of St. Paul, Minn. She was exposed to business and public and community relations at an early age as she grew up working in her family’s grocery store. Before joining Comcast in 2003, Mary Beth was a spokesperson for Northwest Airlines. She served as a spokesperson during some of the airline’s most difficult challenges, including September 11th and labor strikes. Earlier in her career Mary Beth worked in the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office under Attorney General Hubert Humphrey III where she served as executive director of the Minnesota DARE program. Mary Beth began her career as a special events manager for the Minnesota Multiple Sclerosis Society. As Comcast’s area director of community affairs in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Mary Beth oversees public, media and community relations in the Twin Cities. Her role is to strengthen the relationship between Comcast, its employees and the communities Comcast serves, and to share news of the largest cable communications company in Minnesota and the country. In addition to her work at Comcast, Mary Beth is or has been involved in the a number of volunteer positions, including: Midwest Chair, Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT); Governing Board Member, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO); Board Member, St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce PAC Board; and Advisory Committee member, Wilder Foundation Neighborhood Leadership Program. She also was recently selected by the Twin Cities Business Journal as one of the Twin Cities’ "40 under 40" business people. Mary Beth graduated from the College of St. Thomas in Saint Paul with a B.A. in Journalism and is working toward her M.A. in Business Communication.
