Mary Ellen Ladieu

Mary Ellen Ladieu was named vice president, finance, ESPN International in November of 2009.  Ladieu is responsible for the strategic and financial planning for ESPN International, a portfolio of 46 television networks across 202 countries in 16 languages outside of the United States.   In addition to these responsibilities, she also leads the financial evaluation of new business opportunities, including new channels, potential acquisitions, and brand expansion initiatives and works closely with the division’s senior management.

Ladieu joined the controller’s office of ESPN as a staff accountant in November of 1997; she subsequently advanced through various positions within the controller’s office and finance departments.  She served as the senior director, finance ESPN International from 2005 to 2009, during which time she supported divisional growth of 11 networks, 7 websites and many brand extensions in media including mobile, broadband, radio and print.

Prior to ESPN, Ladieu was with Deloitte and Touché.  She holds a B.A. degree in accounting from Westminster College and an M.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Connecticut.  Ladieu is a member of WICT.  She and her husband Kevin reside in CT and are the parents of two sons.
