Mary McConnell has been with Showtime Networks for 20+ years, currently holding the position of Vice President, Distribution. In this role, she and her team are responsible for generating revenue and increasing subscribers with assigned distributors. This entails leading contract negotiations for hundreds of distributors, developing collaborative affiliate marketing and sales initiatives, building effective client relationships, management of revenue and expense budgets, identifying and pursuing business opportunities, and overseeing new product launches.
Prior to joining Showtime, Mary began her career in the cable industry as an Account Director selling local cable advertising for Sammons Communication in Waterbury, CT. She was promoted to Marketing Manager, holding this position for 2 years within their Waterbury system before moving to oversee marketing within their Harrisburg, PA system.
Mary is actively involved in her community and has held leadership roles in a number of organizations. She currently holds a community elected position on the School Governance Council for her children’s middle school; a position she has held for the past 4 years. In addition, she is involved in the local chapter of Young Men’s Service League; a national organization which promotes mother/son volunteerism. She also spends much of her free time involved with her children’s active sports lives.
Mary received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Arizona State University. She resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband, two children ages 17 (son) and 14 (daughter), and 2 ½ year old Lab.
