Mary Porter is the Vice President of Human Resources Talent Management and Diversity for Suddenlink Communications. Mary serves as a strategic business partner to the corporate leadership team leading all generalist support in the corporate office. Mary is focused on managing all aspects of the recruitment initiatives, HRIS data input/output, Sarbanes Oxley and compliance responsibilities. With over 23 years of human resources experience, Mary is passionate about customer service and employee development.
Before joining Suddenlink in 2010, Mary worked for Coventry Healthcare as Director Human Resources. Mary managed the recruitment efforts for all the levels throughout the workers compensation division where she designed and developed a new requisition reporting process.
Prior to Coventry, Mary was a Director of Human Resources for Magellan Health Services for 13 years where she managed the HR Generalists, HRIS management system and the payroll department. Mary lead the company in the largest, most comprehensive reduction and restructure project in the company’s history merging three lines of business under one structure reducing labor by 43% over an 18 month period.
Mary attend Southeast Missouri State University, holds a variety of training certifications and is a member of St. Louis Diversity through St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association, Society for Human Resource Management, Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) Mid-West Chapter and the Treasurer for the St. Louis Chapter of NAMIC.
Mary lives with her husband and their 13 year old son in St. Charles, MO.
