Marybeth Strobel

Marybeth Strobel is the vice president of CNN Digital Ad Sales, overseeing domestic sales efforts in the New York, Midwest and Southeast offices and territories.  Based in New York, she reports to Joseph Dugan, senior vice president of CNN Digital Ad Sales.

Responsible for advancing CNN’s position in the new media marketplace, Strobel handles ad sales for CNN’s online, mobile, video-on-demand and distribution initiatives.  The CNN Digital network is repeatedly ranked by Nielsen as the Internet’s No. 1 news and information property. Collaborating closely with the Ad Sales division and the CNN Strategic Integration Group, Strobel’s sales team works to develop integrated custom marketing opportunities and solutions for clients across the breadth of the CNN brand.

Strobel began her eleven year tenure with Turner on the CNN Television sales team.  She quickly advanced in cross platform responsibilities and has held ascending positions, being named vice president in 2005.  Marybeth brought with her an extensive portfolio of agency and production experience which helped her glean unique insight into all sides of the media industry.  Her appetite for news was apparent even at the earliest stages of her career, interning at local Philadelphia and Boston affiliates, and then moving on to advertising agencies including Barry Blau, Wells, BDDP and Televest, where she honed her negotiating and campaign development skills.

Marybeth remains active in industry associations, currently serving as board director of Advertising Women of New York (AWNY), where she has also held positions as special events advisor, committee co-chair and mentor. She sits on the IAB/MIXX award screening committee, is a member of WICT and also participates in various Turner professional groups.  She has taken part in numerous charity bike races, helped New Orleans’ St. Bernard Project and volunteers for the Citymeals organization.

Strobel earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University and remains involved with the school through alumni and professional development associations.  She resides in New Jersey with her husband and young son.
