Meara Erdozain is Vice President of Programming for CNN International. Meara oversees the network’s daily live news programming where she directs the network editorially and shapes CNN International’s coverage of live events and breaking news. Meara works closely with the show teams across CNN’s international programming hubs in Atlanta, London, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and New York. Meara oversees more than 20 senior managers at the network who in turn direct hourly programming operations and a production staff of nearly 400.
Before she moved to Atlanta in 2011, Meara was the Executive Editor of CNN’s global business programming where she led the network’s signature prime time business program Quest Means Business with Richard Quest.
Meara joined CNN International in 2001 as a writer and moved quickly to become Supervising Producer. Throughout her time at CNN International Meara has launched key shows including the highly successful franchise Business Traveler. Meara field produced on several major breaking news stories, including the death of Pope John Paul II and the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004.
Meara graduated from Oxford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
