As vice president, partnership marketing & operations for The Weather Channel Companies, Megan Rock oversees all affiliate marketing and operations efforts. She is responsible for developing and executing a strategic distribution roadmap while creating greater efficiencies and synergies with all key partners.
With 20 years of experience in the cable industry, Rock’s responsibilities have crossed all functional areas within the realm of affiliate sales & marketing. Previously, Rock was with Discovery Communications where she served as vice president, domestic distribution and was responsible for ongoing network distribution efforts, strategic marketing and operational matters.
Prior to that, Rock’s professional roles included that of business consultant at Alvarez & Marsal, sales & marketing director at Turner Broadcasting and regional director at Fox Family Channel. Rock also held various sales, marketing, and operational positions with Discovery Communications, Comcast Spotlight, Turner Networks Sales and Turner Home Satellite earlier in her career.
Rock is an active member of the cable industry, having served on various committees and boards with CTAM, WICT, CAB and Cable Positive. Rock’s industry accomplishments have garnered numerous distinctions, including Beacon Awards and CTAM’s Mark & Digital Case Study Awards. In addition, CAB and NCC have honored Rock and her teams with numerous sales achievement accolades.
Rock received a bachelor’s degree in Business Psychology with a concentration in consumer behavior from Miami University in Oxford, OH. She also completed the CTAMU executive management program at Harvard Business School. She lives in Atlanta, GA.
