Meghan Rodgers

Meghan is currently serving as the Director of Finance and Strategy for Travel Channel, a lifestyle network owned by Scripps Networks Interactive. In this role, she is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities that increase revenues, traffic and market share to support Travel Channel’s overall strategy. She also oversees financial reporting & analysis, and leads the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for the network.

Prior to joining Travel Channel, Meghan worked as the Director of Strategy and Operations for Strayer Education, Inc. As a direct report to the President & COO, she worked with senior management to deliver strategic and business development recommendations, and identify and implement opportunities for operational effectiveness. She also teamed with Hall of Fame football coach Joe Gibbs to design and deliver basic budgeting courses for the Washington Redskins and the NFLPA Rookie Symposium.

Meghan’s previous media experience includes a variety of roles for Discovery Communications. She served as the Director of Strategic Planning & Operations for Discovery Communications’ international division. Meghan also served as Director of Business Strategy & Operations for Animal Planet, the company’s second most widely distributed global brand. Meghan joined Discovery Communications in 2004 as an Account Manager for the US Affiliate Finance group, where she was responsible for managing key relationships with Comcast, Time Warner, and DirecTV.

Prior to joining Discovery Communications, Meghan was a Consulting Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP where she designed and implemented retirement, estate, charitable and income tax planning tax strategies for Fortune 500 CEO’s, high net worth individuals, family groups and foundations. Meghan has also provided independent financial consulting services to start-up companies such as Aware Records.

Meghan graduated from Miami University (OH) with a degree in accounting. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a registered Certified Public Accountant.

Meghan currently serves as the President and Chairman of the National Collegiate Cancer Foundation, organization formed to assist young adults surviving with cancer as they pursue higher education. She serves as an advocate for the Lung Cancer Alliance, lobbying congressional leaders to support the advancement of a lung cancer research public policy agenda.
