As Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs at GMC, Melissa M. Ingram works closely with the network’s SVP/General Counsel and senior executives providing legal counsel for all aspects of GMC’s operations. In addition to drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements for GMC, Melissa is primarily responsible for advising on acquisitions and licensing, talent and employment agreements, music performance rights and licensing of GMC’s original content. Melissa joined GMC in 2009.
Prior to joining GMC, Melissa was an associate with an Atlanta-based boutique entertainment firm where she handled various entertainment contracts including, exclusive recording, co-publishing, producer and personal management agreements. Melissa began her legal career as an associate in the Labor and Employment group at Alston & Bird, LLP in Atlanta.
Melissa holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and a Bachelors of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in English from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Melissa now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and newborn daughter.
