Melissa Merriman is a Sales Account Manager in the Global Service Provider Organization at Cisco, the worldwide leader in IT. In her 10 years at Cisco Melissa has been dedicated to supporting customers in the service provider and telecommunications space and has a proven track record of exceeding expectations in the areas of sales, business development, technology adoption, customer relationship management, and strategy and planning. She is an authentic and dynamic leader who strategically develops and tactfully implements solutions that solve problems, and support shared business goals and objectives. She is adept at identifying opportunities and excels at building cross functional teams across various organizations. She embraces new technologies and change, and is recognized for consistent execution. She is currently working exclusively with Comcast supporting IP, Data Center, Cloud, Security, Video, IOT, Collaboration and Wireless initiatives.
Prior to joining Cisco Melissa was a Sales Engineer and then Account Manager at Viavi (formerly JDSU) a leading provider of optical products and test and measurement solutions for the communications industry.
Melissa has been an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) since 2010. She has been a WICT Greater Philadelphia Chapter Board member since 2013 and currently serves as the Communications Chair, responsible for leading the Chapter’s marketing and communications initiatives.
Melissa earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. She resides in Bucks County, PA with her husband, and their two children.
