Melissa Sokban is currently a Continuous Service Improvement Manager for Time Warner Cable’s (TWC) Corporate Network Operations and Planning team based in Herndon, VA. In her current role, Melissa is responsible for identifying improvement opportunities, analyzing critical data and working with key stakeholders to develop and implement service improvement plans.
Prior to this current role, Melissa was a Global Network Operations Center (NOC) Service Delivery Analyst, where she developed operations support guides on new products and services to ensure that the NOC had the most current information to assist in restoration activities. One of those projects included the creation of the Advanced Technology Group (ATG) playbook for the Adelphia Comcast Integration, in which Melissa was recognized as TWC’s ATG Network Operations Employee of the Year, 2006 with the MVP award (formerly Total Quality Service, TQS). This past year, Melissa was selected for the first ATG Network Operations and Planning Mentoring Program to participate as a mentee. She facilitated in developing the business case, planning and attending a sailing teambuilding activity in Annapolis, MD for the group of over 40 mentors and mentees.
Melissa holds a B.S. from Northwestern University in Education and Chemistry. She rounds out her busy work life helping to build the community at TWC. She volunteers her time to help plan employee events, and participates in the TWC Connect A Million Minds (CAMM) Math Mentoring program and Go Green Committee. Active in the cable industry as well as her community, Melissa is on the Executive Committee of Divine Mercy Care and St. Theresa’s Divine Mercy Outreach program. She currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband, Yudi, and two boys, William and Daniel.
