As Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for BET Networks, Meron Demissie is responsible for the strategic planning and financial forecasting for BET Networks Advertising and Affiliate revenue, including related expense departments. She has brought both efficiency and effectiveness through automation and standardization of various forecasting processes. She works directly with the VP and SVP of FP&A to provide key financial insight to support business decisions.
Prior to joining BET Networks, Meron was Manager of Financial Analysis at Primus Telecommunications Inc. a world-wide provider of advanced communication services to residential, business and carrier customers. In this role, Meron was responsible for the strategic planning and financial forecasting for all Carrier and VoIP services, as well as the month-end close and financial reporting. She was instrumental in the design and implementation of financial process redesign and applications to measure profitability of products and services on a periodic basis.
Meron Demissie holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from George Mason University and an undergraduate degree, triple-majoring in Business, Accounting and Computer Science, from Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. She lives in Woodbridge, VA with her husband. In her spare time, Meron enjoys staying active in sports and traveling.
