Michele Golden is Vice President of Talent Management for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. In this capacity, she is responsible for oversight of all Talent Management, Executive Development and Diversity initiatives. She is based in Atlanta and reports to Jacqueline Welch, Senior Vice President, Human Resources.
Previously, Golden was Executive Director of Human Resources over entertainment networks. In this capacity, she was responsible for oversight of all human-resources field operations supporting the entertainment networks, Turner Sports, and Atlanta Braves. Additionally, she was responsible for the oversight of the implementation of all HR initiatives that span across the Entertainment, Operations, and Technology client groups.
In 2001, she was promoted to Director of Human Resources, responsible for human-resources operations for the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Thrashers, Atlanta Hawks, Philips Arena, Turner Sports, and Turner Sports Interactive. Prior to that promotion, Golden was a Human Resources Consultant, responsible for human resources operations for Turner Sports, the Goodwill Games, the Atlanta Thrashers, and World Championship Wrestling. Before joining TBS, Inc., Golden was a Human Resources professional with Ford Motor Company.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Texas and a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Human Resources from Vanderbilt University. She is certified by the Society for Human Resources as an SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources). She is also certified in the Benchmarks 360 instrument through the Center for Creative Leadership, and in the Myers Briggs Type Instrument.
