Michelle Harste is a Manager of Billing Systems for Comcast. In this role she leads a team responsible for the standardization and maintenance of billing system settings across the entire Comcast national footprint. Michelle leads a team which works with stakeholders throughout nineteen regional markets within three divisions to align and implement best practices for the organization. Michelle and her team build new processes and systems that are utilized to record, govern, and implement standardized settings. Michelle has overseen the implementation of standards for 80% of all system settings across these markets. Recently, her responsibilities have expanded to include coordinating requirements, documentation and analysis for the company’s new billing system.
During Michelle’s time at Comcast she has held positions leading regional and divisional Information Services teams. She has coordinated the implementation of new products, rate change events, programmatic data updates, system billing conversions, as well as managing the daily tasks involved in maintaining a billing system. Michelle prides herself on having lead a large strategic project to standardize system settings for the seven regions within the West Division. This led to improved performance by frontline employees with consistent processes and policies, which translated to improved customer experiences. It also resulted in quicker to market launches as well as simplification to reporting and mass updates. These efforts broke ground for the work Michelle and her team now do for the organization at large.
Michelle attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and MIS. She currently resides in Minnesota with her husband and two sons.
