Mireya Dongo

Mireya Dongo serves as Vice President of Content Distribution at Univision Communication Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America.

Based in Los Angeles, Dongo oversee UCI’s Content Distribution efforts with cable, satellite and subscription on demand distributors. In this role, she is responsible for the distribution of the Company’s broadcast and cable networks, including Univision and UniMás, as well as its diverse digital portfolio. Dongo manages the deal negotiation and strategic initiatives for each of her regional accounts and develops and executes on the distribution and new business strategies for top national accounts

Dongo joined Univision in 2005 as director of Affiliate Marketing, and has since contributed greatly to the development of sales and marketing strategies used to evolve partnerships and increase access of UCI’s content to the U.S. Hispanic community. Through these lasting partnerships, she has generated significant media value for UCI while increasing distribution and tune-in across networks.

Prior to UCI, Dongo was the manager of Acquisition and Independent Retail Marketing at DIRECTV, where she was responsible for developing all marketing and promotional programs for the independent retail sales channel. Before that, she worked in Marketing, Communications and Events for Radio Disney, where she played an instrumental role in the launch of their signature nation-wide concert tour.

Dongo has served as the Membership Chair of the New Mexico-Arizona Women in Cable Telecommunications and as the Vice President of the Southern California National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications.

In 2010, she was the Univision Power of Ideas Honoree and she won the Univision Affiliate Relations Rising to the Challenge Award in 2007.

Dongo graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
