Monica Halperin is the Vice President for Distribution Strategy in Viacom’s Distribution & Business Development group. In this role, she crafts and executes Viacom’s sales and distribution strategy, focusing on the development and implementation of new products and business models for Viacom’s traditional Pay TV and emerging digital distribution partners. Monica relies on her deep understanding of market trends, consumer and distributor needs, new technologies and emerging platforms to recommend business solutions and operationalize them for distributors. Additionally, she helps to guide Viacom’s strategic positions on key focus areas within the industry, including SVOD strategy, content availability and windowing, TV Everywhere, and new partnership opportunities.
Monica joined Viacom nearly 10 years ago as a Manager on its Strategy & Business Operations team. She previously worked as a Strategic Marketing Manager at Piaggio USA, the U.S. distribution arm for Vespa scooters, and as a technology consultant for Capgemini in New York City.
She received a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University, and resides in New York City with her husband and two children.
