Monique Marcil has been the Director of Features for Tribune Media Services’ TV and Movie Information division since 2003. In this role, she has responsibility for a national features syndicate that creates and distributes weekly content to print and electronic customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico; daily content to TMS-owned Zap2it.com; and monthly content to TMS’ cable magazines.
Monique has served in a variety of editorial roles for TMS during her 17 years with the company, including Managing Editor, Copy Chief and Copy Editor. In 2010, she was given the division-wide Leadership Award, which is awarded to "a manager who drives the success of the department through creating and communicating a vision." Throughout her career, Monique has motivated and developed employees to achieve outstanding results by fostering empowerment, teamwork and efficiency.
A native of New York, Monique has a B.S. in Journalism and Public Relations from Syracuse University. She is a member of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), the Society for Features Journalism (SFJ) and the Television Critics Association (TCA). She serves on the board of directors of Southern Adirondack Child Care Network and is the chairperson of the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Alumni Committee.
