Nancy Apatov joined The Weather Channel in 2004 to oversee the Ad Products department for both the cable network and weather.com. Her responsibilities have grown to cover all platforms on which weather appears such as mobile, podcasts, VOD, etc. Prior to joining The Weather Channel Nancy held Sr. media positions at several national ad agencies. She began her ad agency career in Los Angeles working for Doyle, Dane & Bernbach and Foote, Cone & Belding. Upon moving to Atlanta, she worked for McCann Erickson and then a small local agency that focused on technology products. During the dot com boom, the agency was purchased by WPP and became J. Walter Thompson/Tech.
Nancy helped form and then became chairperson for a technology media industry group, Information Technology Media Advisory Council (ITMAC). She also held a board position for BPA (Business Publications Audits), a national auditing company that verifies circulation for business and consumer publications.
