Nancy Murphy is Director of Talent Management and Development for Cox Communications; one of the largest broadband communications companies in the U. S., delivering video, voice and data services to residential and commercial customers.
Nancy’s career includes more than 20 years of Human Resource, Recruiting, Training and Organizational Development experience. Nancy has worked in both small (200 employees) and large (Fortune 500) organizations. Her background includes leading the transformation of training and development organizations across industries. Her industry experience includes telecommunications, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality and healthcare.
Nancy is responsible for overall employee training as well as, leadership development efforts and strategy for Cox Communications in Las Vegas and Arizona. She is also currently serving as the Director for National Sales Training overseeing all residential sales training efforts, initiatives and programs throughout Cox. Nancy designs and facilitates a variety of learning interventions that positively impact both the organization and its employees. She has led several large scale change efforts and works closely with senior management to align the business need with the needs of the employees to drive value throughout the organization. Nancy is considered a thought leader in the area of servant and transformational leadership and is a dynamic and engaging speaker.
Nancy holds Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Arizona State University and a Master of Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. Nancy is a member of American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the Society of Human Resource Professionals (SHRM) and is a certified Master Coach with the Behavioral Coaching Institute. In addition to her significant accomplishments in the corporate world, Nancy has demonstrated a strong commitment to the communities in which she has lived and worked.
She is past President of the Women in Cable Telecommunications Board (Arizona-New Mexico Chapter) and is currently the Chapter Advisor. Nancy also serves on the Board of Director’s for the Arizona YWCA, Metropolitan Phoenix.
