Niem Dang is a Principal Engineer at Time Warner Cable (TWC), the second largest cable company in the U.S. In this role she is responsible for the system architecture as well as development of next generation video controllers, network encryption and video control plane.
Ms. Dang initiated the FIRST LEGO League robotics program through the TWC’s Connect a Million Minds; a program designed to get children excited about science and technology while teaching valuable employment and life skills. She continues to be active in the program by volunteering as the lead coach at the Herndon Hutchison Elementary School in Virginia.
Prior to joining Time Warner Cable in 2011, she was a System Engineer at Comcast leading the deployment of AnyRoom DVR along with the large-scale deployment of Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) capable devices. She was instrumental in the architecture, system design and testing of the Tru2Way Solution.
Ms. Dang is dedicated to shaping and delivering innovative technologies. She has made contributions to CableLabs specifications, has presented several times at the SCTE and is an active member in WICT.
Ms.Dang lives in Sterling, VA. She enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, camping and snowboarding.
