Orlena Blanchard

Orlena N. Blanchard is managing partner of Potomac Strategy Consultants (PSC), a management consulting practice that delivers business strategy, operations, and marketing solutions to media and technology companies. Prior to joining PSC, she served as Senior Vice President of Digital Media for TV One, where she led the network’s digital initiatives and digital marketing efforts. Her tenure at TV One also included her role as Vice President of strategic marketing, where her scope of responsibilities included managing trade marketing and affiliate events, distribution marketing for the Northeast region, negotiating digital distribution partnerships, and strategic oversight of the network’s Video on Demand product.

Ms. Blanchard began her cable career in 2003 with Time Warner Cable where she led content strategy, managed online gaming, and brokered new content partnerships for the online consumer portal, rr.com. Prior to her career in cable she was marketing director for a technology start-up and worked for several years as a technologist and systems integration consultant in the financial services and telecommunications industries.

Ms. Blanchard has served on the board of the WICT Washington D.C./Baltimore chapter for the past three years, most recently as Vice President.  She has been a member of WICT since 2004 and is a graduate of the WICT Executive Development Program. She is a past executive board member of the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the National Association of Multi-ethnicity in Cable (NAMIC). In 2011 she was recognized in Cablefax: The Magazine’s “Most Influential Minorities in Cable” Issue in the area of Technology. 

A proud Boilermaker, Ms. Blanchard has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.  She is an avid cook and enjoys golf and travel with her husband and three sons.
