Patty Ragsdale is a Senior Engineering Project Manager for Combined Conditional Access Development (CCAD), a joint venture of Comcast Cable and Motorola Mobility, and has been part of the Comcast/Motorola team for over 10 years. Her responsibilities include project management, release management and technical documentation for software critical to the Motorola digital access controller (DAC) product lines. Patty guides the software development from requirements phase, through testing, to its release to the field. She manages a core team consisting of members from both CCAD and Motorola’s engineering, development, support, test, marketing and technical publications departments. She communicates status to both Comcast and Motorola executive teams.
Prior to joining Comcast, Patty was employed as a network and systems engineer for Motorola, EDS, Citibank’s Foreign Exchange department on Wall Street, and at the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn she was part of the team that deployed internet access to the dorms and email accounts for all students. She has more than twenty years in software development and telecommunications having started her career as a systems developer for Unisys.
Patty has served as a Girl Scout Leader, Sunday school database administrator, and a First® Robotics Mentor and Volunteer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from East Stroudsburg University, graduating with honors in 1983, and an MBA with International Perspective from Arcadia University, graduating with distinguished honors in 2008. She received her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2011. She resides in Wyncote with her husband and three children.
