Sandra Cavazos

Sandra Cavazos currently serves as Business Information Security Officer for Comcast.  In this role, she oversees cybersecurity strategy for Customer Experience Technologies, Xfinity retail stores, and advertising divisions Effectv and Freewheel.

Sandra has also been instrumental in establishing the Act Two program at Comcast, which provides an entry point for women and men returning to the workforce after a period of caregiving.  Having made the transition from full-time mother to technology executive, she is passionate about providing opportunities for talented individuals who have chosen a brief career break and wish to relaunch.

Sandra began her career as an engineer at Intel’s largest wafer manufacturing facility, responsible for improving quality and yield for Pentium 3 and Pentium 4 chips.  She then spent five years leading cybersecurity initiatives for Intel’s manufacturing sites.  Before transitioning into her current role, she consulted on groundbreaking programs for Comcast including Xfinity Mobile launch and Connected Health.

Sandra earned a Bachelor of Science from Duke University with a triple major in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and German, as well as a Master of Science from Stanford University in Electrical Engineering.  She also serves on the Global Information Assurance Certification Advisory Board, a forum for IT Security professionals.  Sandra lives in the Philadelphia area and enjoys spending time with her husband Arnaldo and teens Colette and Caleb.
