In 2008 Sandra Nelson took on the role as Director of Finance for the Detroit Division of Bright House Networks. She is responsible for preparing and managing the divisions overall budget and ensuring that financial spending is in line with corporate objectives. Additionally, Sandra generates and manages all information for division audits and oversees the implementation new policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Her team’s focus is on billing system support & maintenance, supply chain management, day-to-day accounting functions, and data mining/analysis. Sandra and her team members are passionate about finding efficient ways of getting the job done and thinking outside the box for new solutions.
Prior to joining the Detroit Division, Sandra worked eight years in the Tampa Division of Bright House in various roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, as Director of Business Operations for Advance Broadband Services where she was responsible for the regional budget, data analysis, various accounting functions and customer billing. While in Tampa, Sandra was selected as employee of the year for 2001, manager of the year for 2006, and also selected to participate as a mentee in the Bright House sponsored Women’s Leadership Circle.
